    Paddle tail swimbait hooks

I was thinking of making my own weighted hooks for swimbaits. I am going to get a big angled widegap jig hook ( Mustad 91768 BLN ) they use to pour jigs with and put a snap on coil spring in the front like a hitch hiker and then clamp on rubber core sinkers of varying weights. I think I could make them alot cheaper this way and not have to wait on them since just about all the tackle stores seem to be sold out . What do you think?
