Anyone know where i can get a gold colored blank?

the only way that i know of getting a custom rod blank in gold color is to have an auto body shop paint it for you. i build custom rods for a business and i actually thought about doing that myself only in a teal color or bright red. but that is my suggestion. if you have any more questions just ask away

I saw a sage fly rod in a golden color, and fly rods that are the same style green, red, blue, etc., but i can't find spinning rods like that. the fly rods were in a cabelas magaizne that i saw in the doctors office. The style, is not shiny like a car, but more like a matte type color like most baseball bats.

i never thought about CTS...i should have known that, but good luck getting your hands on them...i have not had any luck, have you?

I got one from Andy at the show last year for a customer. I should have got one for myself too. I haven't tried lately, but have heard they are hard to get.

Imported from NZ. Had some personnel issues at the plant and got backed-up.

I think they got much bigger than they expected.

I think Andy passed off CTS to FishSticks and Bingham. Robert or Karen is who you need to call for them now. Karen said she's getting a few here and there, but is still waiting for some. Don't know what kind of luck Robert is having with them.

I won't give an ETA on a rod if a customer wants it on a CTS blank. I should just order one and when it comes in, it comes in. I don't have time to build rods for myself anyhow. The rate I'm going, I may have time to start my rods in the fall!

Good luck. I currently have a 13 rod backlog............and 5 more to build for myself. I sold all of my personal rods to eliminate some of the rods I needed to build.
