Was wondering how some of you'll that are making your own spinner baits are painting the heads. Fixing to start making my own and just curious what is the easiest, cheapest, fastest and something that will hold up is to do this.
Thanks

I took 2 pcs of old trim wood about 4 ft long by 1/2 in thick and 2 in wide and drill a hole in the end of each about 2 in from the end. I put a small lcarriage head bolt thru them and use a wing nut. Now you have a spinnerbait wood vise. I loosen the nuts and can slide in about 30 sb's down almost to the head. This covers the hooks and then tighten the wing nuts down. Now i simply spray the heads with a white primer and set the vise up to dry. while its drying I load my airbrush with the final color of the heads and when dry start spraying. I made 1000's of this way way back for a company called lunker hunter. If yoou make several vises you can make many baits and have them ready to go in a short time. hope this helps
