    175 faststrike woes ..

    anyone please give some advise on what to do .. 175 faststrike as some intermitent sputter at idle and seems to occasionally bog down upon throttle.. but runs excellent at wot ... . any tips???? throttle cam adjustment has been done, powerpack is new, plugs, wires, primer valve . where do i go from here ??/

    You may want to rebuild the fuel system from the intake manifold forward. When the fuel systems get old on the Faststrikes, it is sometimes necessary to do this. I like to replace all the check valves at the same time. If the carb bowls leak, replace them at the same time. DO NOT put the old bowls back on if they leak. Also, check the primer valve on the engine( the little red lever above the fuel pump). If it is leaking, replace it. If this is leaking(primer valve), try this first BEFORE reworking the whole fuel system. It may save you a lot of $$$$!
