in the great lakes they are like a watermelon color with some black but in the sun there is a gold hue that pops. I would recommend watermelon with little black flake and gold large flake.

Im in Louisiana, and am seeing some gobies in the bayous here. They look just like the bait I just got.
If ya want that green turning to a brownish tint in the sun, get some copper hilite powder & mix a very small amount in your watermelon plastic. The color is mostly known as "roadkill camo".
