I'm not a tournament fisherman and even though I've bass fished for over 50 years I know there's plenty of people here that fish more and know more about it than I do.
I've accumulated a whole lot of lures for Largemouth but over the past ten years almost always go back to the same ones: Over time these have been the best producers for me.
Senkos, weightless or with a jig head if it's windy
grub on a leadhead
Rattletrap or Cordell Spot
Rapala
Rico
Rapala Skitter Pop
black Hula Popper
If I had to narrow it down it would be the Skitter Pop (Ricos are expensive), Senko and Rattle trap.
I"m sure I'm missing some lures that work as well or better. I've been hearing/seeing a lot of promotion for the Strike King Red Eye Shad but it looks to me to be another variation of the Rattletrap. Is it better? Opinions & recommendations appreciated.
