Snell knot on offset hooks???

Currently I am using a palomer knot and have not had any issues but I have seen a lot of guys tying snell knots to straight shank hooks for better hook ups. Why is it not recommended to tie a snell knot to an offset hook?

i use the uni snell knot on all my flippin set ups,even the ewg and off set hooks when used,but not for the same reason.on the strait shank hook there is a advantage of a deeper and better hookset because of the angle of the point.you dont have that advantage on a ewg or offset.i tie the snell to alliviate the pressure on the knot.it takes longer to tie but you dont have to retie as often.
