Hey guys, I have a '90 Johnson GT 200. I have been trying to get my water pressure guage to work. It was hooked into the pee tube when I got the boat, and the guage was messed up. So far, I have replace the guage with a known good one, and I had nothing at any rpm, sitting still or moving. After that, I checked my low water pickups and whatnot to be sure they aren't stopped up. (they weren't). I went to a local marine shop to ask for advice and saw a 225 Evinrude that looked just like mine. His WP guage was teed into a small line coming from a barbed 90* fitting on the drivers side of the block, just in front of the head, to a little black plastic circle looking thing that had other (bigger) water lines going to it. Now I have no WP at idle, 4lbs wide open going down the lake. It pees out a really good stream and I'm stuck here guys. Any advice? I wanna get this working so I can start trying to set my boat up! Also, I have a shop manual for Johnson/Evinrude. Everyone said my engine was a cross-flow, but according to the pics and text in the manual it is a looper... I'm sure this plays a big role in where/how to hook up the guage. Sorry for the long post, and thanks in advance, guys!
