    spoon question

    what are some good bass spoons. i am looking to fish deep by some rock dropoffs in the snake river, wa.

    the War Eagle spoons are really good...got quite a few of them.

    If you are talking jigging spoons, Academy sells some that are CHEAP. I can't recall the name though. I have a bunch of them for a little over $1 apiece. They have eyes and come in a couple different colors in weights from 1/4- 1 oz.

    We use a lot of these out here in CA. The 3/4 oz is pretty good for getting down 40-50'. Catch a ton of spots on the morning dawn color.

    If you have current in the river try a mann-o-lure for a faster drop. I like a BPS Strata spoon in white, it has a very wide "sweep" on the fall, the Mann-o-lure has very little (almost none) so it falls faster.
