About the only thing that's going to help with line twist is a barrel swivel tied on to your main line, then tie on a your leader and attach the hook and sinker.

Another option is to use a swivel bell sinker... both methods mentioned seems to work ok for me.

Use 10-20lb power pro braid and tie 6-8ft of flouro leader. Change out the leader when you need more. Braid won't twist like pther line. Power pro 20lb is the diameter of 6lb flouro

When you reel is do it slowly. That is the only way I can keep dropshot, tubes or shaky from twisting.

Always close your bail manually.... don't reel to click it closed.

jigman hit it right on the head...

get in some clear water and reel your dropshot in quick, spins...
    reel it slow, doesn't...

I'm not gonna mess with leaders and swivels...

Tried that and it still twists. I never miss a time when the bail is close manually.
I'm going to try a small Sampo swivel just above the hook. Thanks for all the impute guys.

Try using lighter line. I use 6 pound mostly and have no twist. Well with that being said I will have a bird's nest tomorrow for sure.

These two tips are worth their weight in gold if you hate line twist. Plus you don't have to be worried about a swivel on the retreive.

I would suggest double uni knot for that: http://www.thaifishingguide.co....html

Re: Drop Shot Line Twist (dvang)

I turn the reel upside-down,which puts the reel on top, hold the line with two fingers and reel in. I do this acouple of times with a long cast.....It seems to work for me. I think I read it on a pro tips web-site. Don't let amyone see you do it,they will think you're nuts...my fishing partner said what the h^%$ are you doing. when I started doing it.
