I would say a 7.5' MH crankin rod, the extra length for casting distance.
i use the ol browning silaflex solid glass rod..use them for all crankbaits even my 30 plus...cant beat the action of glass and they are not real heavy...contrary to popular belief they have plenty of backbone...best part...bass pro 30 bucks for a 7 footer..

I heard that the Paul Elia's Quantum signature rod is a great rod for cranking various size crankbaits.
