    Jig Types

What jigs are you throwing in what situations?

I like to narrow it down to a brand if possible, but beginning to get confused with the different styles.

Football, finesse, casting, etc... I pitch to docks and cover the majority of the time, but am not at all against learning a new technique. So I would be interested to know the different kinds and applications.

    Re: Jig Types (Pinch_of_Snuff)

I've been using Jewel Jigs' Eaton Jigs... mostly 3/8ths oz with a Strike King Rage Craw chunk on the hook. Caught several fish today on this rig... and more than one species. I also trim back the plastic weed gaurds a bit... to just above and level with the hook... I think they are too long as they come out of the package.
