i just got my boat, and im am about to run out of the gallon of oil that the guy gave me with the boat. it was the xd25 oil, do you think i should switch to something diff. or get the same? if so, what would ya ll recommend?

You should at least be using XD50 in that motor.

The XD-50 is a semi-synthetic oil with Carb X added to help keep carbon depostits down. You should still decarb once yearly or every 100 hours.
If you can't get XD-50 (like in my neck of the woods) then quicksilver premium plus is a good choice as well.
