I will tell what works for me, I like to find bluffs or rocky points that have a steep drop off, or a sudden decline into the water, this way you can present plastics to the fish at alot of angles and depths. When you throw you may bottom out at 3-5 feet at the bank, but on the retreive you can really get down there and pull the fish out of their rocky structure. Just my 2 cents.
I like crankbaits dt 14 and 16, hot lips 3/4 for deeper fish bounce it off the structure with a pause.
3/4 weighted Carolina rig trick worms, lizards, sometimes a craw, on a drop
1/2 texas rig monster worm, good around rock piles and brush
3/4 and 1/2 ounce jig, rocks and drops
for those stubborn fish a 1/4 spotsticker jig, finesse worm
Road beds, humps, and stumpy points are a start and on most places they are a sweet spot, find it and bam and if you can find the magic depth more than likely you will catch more at that depth on different places.
Find the deepest hydrilla you can find and throw T-rigged ol' monster worms. Also c-rigged creature baits on drop offs.
