Does florocarbon have any advantages over braid in stained water with visibility 1-3 feet. I currently use braid but am considering some floro for flipping and worming. The cover I usually fish is mostly wood with some occasional pads. What florocarbon line do you prefer?

Braid might be ok for flippin, but it handles horribly...IMO a line should cast smooth and not make a sound while leaving the guides...also you should be able to set the hook how you like and not have to worry about breaking a rod with the braid...
There is no reason to use a H action rod for worms or jigs...I fish extremely heavy cover, and have no problems as long as the line is good and strong...the rod should be able to feel the hit, and as long as you don't horse the fish out of the cover, you'll be fine...
Even though that last paragraph had nothing to do with your question, FLORO all the way...or even mono...but if your happy with braid and don't set the hook like a madman as I do, you'll be ok

I use them all. I use braid for real heavy flipping', and frogs. When I set the hook I want a fish moving my way fast. I use mono on top-water and all things with treble hooks. The slight stretch gives me the play I need. Plus it floats on the water, make walking the dog and stuff like that easier. I use fluorocarbon for clear water and some spinner baits. The only problem I have with fluorocarbon is that is sinks. I have found it creates drag in the water and sometimes slows hook sets. The only time I truly rule out fluorocarbon is as a leader for Carolina rigs. As I said it sinks, you need mono to help keep the lures off the bottom. Also Braid works great as a main line on Carolina rigs. Gives great sensitivity. I also like fluorocarbon when fishing sinkos and drop shots. So I say give them all a try. The all have the place. Also I have fished braid for a long time never broke a rod yet. If your drag is set like it should be you should not break a rod. I always have 50 to 65 lb braid on. I hope this helps a little.

Thanks that is about what I am doing now. Braid for heavy flipping, mono for spinner baits and cranks. I do use the PowerPro for topwater for the same fact that it floats.
