    Rev Limiter

Just curious does my 05 ETEC 250 DPLSO have a rev limiter on it? I was testing props not to long ago and one of the guys with me was saying we never hit the rev limiter?? I only have stock Ranger RPM gauges and it was reading somwhere between 5800 and 6000 but that only estimating since it is marked in 500rpm increments. Any ideas?

Yes it does but its not like the limiters of old where the engine pops and shakes it will simply not run over the limit.

It will hold at that RPM, depending on what version software you are running it should be around 6050.

Before all the posts start about what the tach reads when you hit the rev limit I would suggest you have your tachs checked AGAIN with the diagnostic software.
