on the equalizer scales. This is the deal we got about a month ago, not sure if it is still going on.

Equalizer Tourmament scales are on sale for $275 (M30 model). M40 is a little more if you feel you may weigh in more than 30lbs at one time! They have a special as well...get the scales, a cover, case, power cord, and shipped to your door for $318. One year full warrenty. If they break and they are repairing them for ya...they'll send you a loaner to use in the meantime.

Can't go wrong with Equalizer Scales. Suggest that you call and talk with them before ordering to see if they have any reconditioned units. I saved quite a bit of money by ordering one of those instead of a new set. For your tournaments, I would get their M30 unit.

i know everyone likes equalizer - personally never liked the ones we had - once you put a basket on them - was hard to read the weight - we went with http://www.tournamentscales.com for our last set of scales and they are great

Equalizer seems to be the standard and I think I bought our first one (R-7 Back Bay Director) in the early 90's so they've been around. But I highly recommend having a back-up.
