I live in the Fox Hill area (Salt Ponds) of Hampton. There's a sign at the marina proclaiming this area to be the Cobia capital of the east coast. All I know is that I routinely see guys leaving the marina with Cobia as long as their truck beds. Mighty tasty on the grill...thats for sure!!

yea rob they have been catchin 10 - 30 a day the past two weeks from 20lbs to 87 lbs and they have caught some kings as well so i just gota go .

Dude, I'd love to go. My FIL lives just inland from Beaufort in NewPort. Maybe I'll give you a shout next time I'm there to hook up on a saltwater trip

Pretty white chunky meat...UMMMMMMMM..Sounds so good on the grill. Would love to find the monsters, they must be on the migrate back inland(shallow). Good luck if you do go. Take pics too..
