Can someone tell me the correct oil to use for a 2001 Rude Ram. As the names for the oils have changed I want to make sure that I continue to use the correct product. I have been given conflicting information from two boat shops. Which do I use. Evenrude 50 or Evenrude 100.
I have been using the 50 but have now been told by one that I should use the 100 for that engine and then the other guy says thats wrong and the 100 is for the E-Tec and newer.

The XD100 is the very best oil you can use in your particular motor, but it is very expensive. The XD50 is the second choice and the more economically feasable one.

I switched to XD-100 in my 03 DI during the winter 4 years ago and never switched back. I love that oil and it keeps the engine clean.
