I may not even be able to get TO my camper to go hunting since the Meherrin river is supposed to flood and crest this weekend, and they say it will be higher than last year, and then water was 2 ft deep across the road.

Mark, the official NOAA forecast for the Meherrin at Lawrenceville at this time is only for "minor flooding" of the river. It if not forecast at this time to even reach the level of the two year flood, and should be receding by noon Saturday.

Watch out for floaters that might make their way to the river..

I just checked myself a few minutes prior to posting, and it said it would crest at the same level as the 12/08 max for the nott and the 9/06 max for the meherrin.

Not sure how they can drop that prediction from last night....I am looking at my garage flooding out when high tide hits......I only have 3-4" right now before it gets above the foundation, and high tide ain't even here yet. Same for my utility room off the back of the house.....

I'm not sure what the rivers are doing, but I can tell you the rain is flooding my yard, especially along the garage. I'm afraid to go look inside...Am hoping it has not gone in. Might try to get out of the lane tomorrow, but sure am not going to try today!
