    Does anyone like to hunt?

I know how much everyone here loves to fish, my self included, but when the nights start cooling off I tend to switch gears.

Sorry Jamie, not me. I've found the fishing to be better in the winter here than in the summer.

I do hunt as well. Before I would be in my treestand every chance I got. Now I look at the weather, if it is going to be warm I will be fishing, other than around the RUT.

Mike, I used to go stripper fishing, but then my wife caught me and put a stop to that! Of course back then we didn't call it fishing, we called it chasing down loose women.

Re: Does anyone like to hunt? (billybass)

Every year when the leaves started changing I would put away the boat and break out the camo....not so much anymore.

My brother and nephews and I still go up to the National Forrest near Roanoke and set up camp for two weeks every rifle season. Can't miss that. But I used to spend allot of time bow and blackpowder too. Now I rarely get the time for blackpowder, and I haven't drawn the bow in years.

I got introduced to a very nice, small, local club this year. They've got allot of acerage and they keep things simple. I'll probably join them next year and try and get back out there more.

Meanwhile...winter fishin' has been very very good to me.....

I quit hunting about 5 years ago. I eat very little of the meat and have noone to really give it to. Also, my time away from the wife and two kids is hard to come by so I fish every chance I get.

I stink at fishing, but do consider myself to be a better than average hunter. Bowhunting is how I recharge my internal batteries every fall.

Nope, I like the fishing in the winter...No boat traffic, and fishing can be alot better. Just too much to these old bass that need figuring out....

Thanks for the replies. I love to bow hunt. As hard as it may be to believe I would probably GO CRAZIER if I tried to catch bass all year.

Hunt on Sat, fish on Sundays! Opening day of bow season is this weekend, but I am not really excited about it but our hunt club is going to go rabbit hunting in the morning and deer hunting that evening. Then it is fishing on Sunday.
