Chesapeake police officer shot during traffic stop

Dont have the officers name yet, but my contacts tell me early word is he is going to be ok....my Swat team is also on scene.....

CHESAPEAKE – An officer was shot after making a traffic stop Monday afternoon, sources tell 13News. Police blocked off I-64 east at the High Rise Bridge and I-64 West near George Washington Highway around 4:30 p.m.

Sources tell13News the suspect may have been involved in a pursuit/abduction from Norfolk. The search is on for one suspect. Nightingale air ambulance flew to the scene and took a victim to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where it landed just after 5:00 p.m. The condition of the officer isn't known.

and that no other officers is injured trying to find this scumbag..... info I'm getting is there was an AK47 involved.....

Officer is recovering and is in stable condition.
