Saturday fish report

OK....lets hear the success stories....Chip and I stunk it up on the northwest river....one fish and on topwater at that....No seriously...a topwater bait. So anybody else??

Was the Cho muddy??? Northwest was like a sewer.

Fished Tunis and managed to find one short fish. Fishing was worse than tough. It would have been a better day for golf. Water was cold and dirty in spots.

I'll let the others speak for themselves, but it was not pretty

fished club tourney out at 45 bridge in the roanoke. I came in 3rd with 3 for 5.75. second was 3 for 6.25 and first was 8.5ish with big fish at 3.25. 23 total entrys..my third was bitter sweet because I got a ticket I measured the fish and it just was 14, game warden measured and it was 13 3/4. I said no way and measured on my golden rule and the tail still just did touch the 14 in line. he said and I quote" something is not right , we are getting different measurements" and he measured again. same 13 3/4. He shoved the nose of the bass pretty hard against the ruler (I lightly placed the nose on the ruler) and it was 13 3/4. $ 171.00, ouch.

Pete and I fished the Chowan out of Tunis also. We zero'd.

2 dinks all day, that was it. Muddy and cold water. Very muddy.

Ed I wish I knew that was you, I would of stopped and talked. I really enjoyed that so called race, since I'm a rookie driver, you def put me to the test. By the way nice boat. Saw Ronnie Baker with his son and friend up river too. Nice day on the water.

Yea mike sorry I keep forgetting im in the ranger instead of the allison...haha..If you dont have a GPS im me and I will tell you how fast we were really going haha..I was suprised that there were more boats on the river...Where did you put in?...

Had a good day in the BFL at Kerr. Took 30th and got a check on the boater side .

Yea those Golden rules will get you a ticket. They are well known for either being over or under. They checked me on the Roanoke last weekend and I asked them to use my Gator board ( Which they did ) They were about to write me a ticket because I didn't have my suspenders on ( They only count as a life vest when you have them on )I got out of that also. He didn't like the way my numbers were scratched up either.
