    Radford University

My oldest boy has just been accepted, any alumni here? I have a daughter graduating from Sweet Briar this year and another graduating from Missouri next year...only 3 more to go! lol

If anyone knows anything about RU, pls let me know. He's also considering ODU.

You might get a tad uncomfortable if I share what I know about Radford from back in my day.

    especially the female alumni

What's the kid want to Study? Almost every occupation seems to have a particular groups of schools that seem to do the best preparation. Especially if the student will be hoping for acceptance into grad school.

That's the best advice. Find the school that offers the courses he wants to take and will get him where he wants to go.

I'm partial to ODU and if he likes to play golf, they have a very nice practice facility.

    Re: Radford University (RobShaw1)

Rob, I had two girls that went there. One went for music. very good program.
the other went to be teacher and still not finished yet. I like the school very good because it is small enough to give one on one if needed--and the instructors for the most part really want to help if the student is interested.
It is a party school but no more than any of the others. Since you have two already in--you know what I mean. I wish you and you son good luck no matter where he goes just as long as he goes and tuffs it out.
I told my girls I just wanted a B.S. beside their name even if it stood for Bull Sh**.

    Re: Radford University (Relesm)

Yeah, Im aware of the "party school" reputation. My older kids were always taught that after college graduation...ITs CALLED ALCOHOLISM!!

This one is interested in journalism...what can you do???

I know that VCU has a strong program in the arts, so I imagine that they are a good choice or journalism. Also some of the liberal arts schools in Va such as Emory & Henry would be a good choice

Radford is a good school...Just like most...There are parties, but around here its known for the parties...

I spent a lot of time there while I was in college, and I didnt attend Radford...But then again I spent time a Longwood, Tech, UVA, and everywhere in between..

Hell I see a road trip coming up soon
