Sad Day at my Police Department

Today while on duty.....my family in blue received one of the worse calls you can imagine.....one of our officers committed suicide while he was at home......he leaves a wife and children......we are all at a loss as to why...


I spent all afternoon helping to call and deliver the news to my fellow officers...I sat in his "Roll Call" today for his squad, we cried and prayed together.....

Officer Percy Jeffries was one of those officers that always had a smile on his face, offering his hand to help people in need, he went above and beyond the call when ever he was needed....he worked part time at our local schools and always took the time to just "listen" to kids in need....they loved him so much...

Percy "adopted" an elderly woman who lived in his district, stopped by daily to check on her, eat a sandwich, and even took his family by to meet her and spend holidays with her.....

If you wouldn't mind, please say a prayer for Officer Jeffries, his wife and sons and his family in blue.....my heart just aches.....

Rest in Peace my friend, my brother......

sorry to hear that i had a friend in high school that tried to do it and failed. now he has to live with it. my opinion, it is the coward's way out of a tepoary problem and giving it a permanate solution.

nothin is bad enough to do something like that. and from what u say about him, it sounds like the problem that has been there for a while..

but in the end it still sucks for everyone left behind.

so i pray for his wife and kids.
