Has anyone ever bought an extended warrenty after their basic one ran out? Any tips on which company you used? I have to replace a $750 part (part only, not including labor) and think I can get away with just buying an extending warrenty. Any advice would be great.

i bought one from dealer services in missouri but it was'nt cheap.if i remember right it was around$2000
Yep...got a 100K extended warranty on my truck when I purchased it new in 2006 and I paid 2000.00 but it was there platinum coverage through GM.
