    OMC trolling motor parts??

Ok I know this isn't an outboard question but I have no where else to turn. Can you still get parts for the older OMC trolling motors? The motor section is on the way out and was wondering If you can still order these. I know minnkota was making them for OMC for a while. Any info would be great!

    Thanks!

Check board sponsors first then if they can't help call Fosters. Parts are available.

Yes you can still get the TM parts from your local dealer just give him the model # off of your foot pedal and your good to go. CM

Or, you can use the parts link pinned at the top of the page and look them up yourself, this could save some time when talking with your dealer.

OK here's the deal. I went through the parts list and found what I think I need. I went out and tore the motor apart and found that pretty much everyting looked OK. Brushes are fine and the motor looks normal. So my question is, is it normal for the motor to get HOT when running on high for say 200 yards? Also, Rusty have you ever messed with these motors before? can you purchase a rebuild kit? I think that's what this number is but I may be wrong. Can you run it for me?

That's awesome! Don't want to ask a stupid question but that would have all new brushes, o-rings, etc, etc? I may have to order that up if that's the case!

That is complete, it will have heat shrink, connectors, and a o-ring, all you need to install it is a solder gun and a lighter to shrink the heat shrink.

DON'T forget to put the o-ring and heat shrink on before you solder.

Thanks Rusty! Can I order that from you? For me here in PA it will cost $250.75 tax included. Not sure what shipping would be from TN to PA but If the shipping is the same I would rather give you the sale. Let me know. Once again thanks!!
