    Lowrance X67c v. Lowrance X50

Need help as the unit Pete helped me out with went bye bye. It was a good unit and worked this summer but started getting worse and worse each time out. THANKS AGAIN PETE . Anyways I am exploring options on a new one before spring and am doing home work now. Looking at the two above to go on the johnboat of mine. My question is besides price, color & b/w, and pixels what are the differences in them. I have kind of gotten use to the color and have used a b/w screen before. GPS is color too. Need some honest help/opinions here.

If I were you I'd get the Hummingbird 1197c SI (side imaging)

1st: You'd probably be the only jon boat that has one!

2nd: If you decide to trade up to a bigger boat you'd already have it!

3rd: It's going to really increase the resale value of your jon boat!

4th: They are so freakin' cool!

I have an X67c. My trusty 'ol X85 went missing one night and a buddy happened to have the X67c that he wasn't using at the time so I borrowed it for a little while. I was so impressed with it that I just bought it from him. If you can get past the narrow screen, the images are crisp and it shows great details. I can see a spoon in about 30-40 ft of water pretty clear. $200 well spent in my opinion.

Dont know much about that x50 but it cant be as good as a color unit.
