I have a 2002 XR6, serial number OT555755. When I bought this boat with the outboard it ran okay when started but it would not go to high rpms. I rebuilt the fuel pump, changed the primer bulb and all the fuel lines. Changed all the spark plugs. It became hard to start and once I got it started it ran rough. Last time out it started and I tried to back off the trailer and when I put it in gear it stalled. After that it would not start and now I have now spark. I cannot figure out why I have no spark. I have tried unplugging the connection from the shift box and put a remote trigger on the starter and still no spark. I have charged the battery to make sure there is enough charge to spin the starter fast enough as well, still no spark. I have tried changing out the ignition control module, same result. I have a new stator but have not tried that yet.
Any advise on what to do next? Any experience with this motor would be helpful.
