5.25 for Solix and Apex

5.25 solved a lot of issues I was having with waypoint management. It’s running really smooth. Only issues identified so far:

1. Need to remove and reinsert Lakemaster VX card after each startup of the Apex in order for the Apex to read the chip.
2. Need to reselect “Lakemaster VX” in Solix menu after each startup in order or the linked Solix units to display the VX maps read from the Apex card slot.

I'm not having that issue but I do have to run the VX card in the lower card slot (slot 2).

They had to update the VX cards to work in the Apex slot 1. My WI card is back ordered so I have to wait for a replacement, but it sounds like they are replacing them for those with issues. They also fixed some "software" on mine so I can only assume that there is another update in the works. I won't know version (if changed) until Tuesday when I get it back, but I was already on 5.250.

I have noticed that with the new updates when using a Navionics card I have to hit the exit button after changing screens to get the map to correspond to the boat location again. I was losing GPS fix, but the latest updates seem to have fixed that issue. It does suck that whenever you do an update you lose all your settings.

My Apex's won't play nice when trying to share the VX Premium Cards. After time on the water the chart screens will go black. I also have to run in slot 2. When I lose chart view the units are still networked just can't see the card on chart source.

Also have to take my cards out to boot up one or it sits there with black screen for about 5 minutes before the bird symbol shows and starts booting. This is without Nav data on unit before someone says sounds like corrupt data.

Autochart live will not work properly for me. Wil not display my previously recorded data. Also does not appear to save to card I'm in week 4 pulling my hair out on this one.

SD card is "in the news" a lot lately with these new units
