MLF Heavy Hitters - boat question

So I realize that the pros in this tournament are not fishing out of their own boats. But I have also noticed that different boats have different brand trolling motors on them. I would guess each angler is used to whatever they have on their boat, so does MLF make sure that the pro is matched with their trolling motor of choice? I just noticed yesterday that Matt Stefan had a Ghost (which he does on his own boat) and Bobby Lane appeared to have a Power Pole Move (which he has on his own boat). Wasn't sure if that was a coincidence or how that worked. Same would go for electronics since I'm sure the guys are accustomed to certain brands that they have in their own boats. Anyone know how this works?

just coincidence, they all have either nitro or ranger with lowrance electronics. only difference is the trolling motor.

For the most part they do keep the angler with boat/trolling motor they are used to. Back when the All American provided boats for the 50 anglers you either got a Mercury/Motor Guide boat or, an Evinrude/MinnKota boat & had to run what they assigned you. The worse was back in the FLW days when you fished out of their boats on last day. Moving tackle & waypoints was a pain.

I'd guess that they make some effort to keep sponsored pro's in boats that feature products with that companies pro's. I doubt that they are able to accommodate everyone.

Does anyone know if the angler used the "cup" boats for practice as well as during the tournaments or did they bring their own rigs for practice? Also I have a hard time believing a group A angler has to take all his gear out of the boat at the end of the day so that a group B angler can use it the next day but towing around a minimum of 30 boats for the anglers to use seems either excessive or darned impressive.

MDJ used his own boat to practice, I assume everyone else did as well
