Question looking for cheap battery guage to kee track of state of charge???

I'm running a stand alone lithium for my 2 carbon's and it's a small 30 amp battery. What kind of guage can I get that is cheap that will tell me the state of charge in my battery throughout the day. I have bluetooth on my TM batteries and that is great but need a little help on this other one it's under my console

Would a standalone gauge even work on lithiums? It's going to see 13 volts until it doesn't anymore.

You can buy a shunt that you put on one of the battery terminals and it can give you the same blue tooth ability to monitor the charge on your phone just like you do now.

Amped outdoors monitor is one of the better options.

Basically all cheap, few dollar “battery monitors” won’t help you with a lithium. Voltage is higher and a very flat discharge curve.

I have two set ups for lithium, I did not use NEW I would sell. I ended up with a bluetooth battery in each of my rv and boat systems.

Victron Energy bmv700 is a shunt with a round gauge.

Victron Energy smart shunt 500 is a bluetooth only one.

I would sell either for $75 shipped.

You can buy a DROK meter for under $20. It has a lithium profile you can choose. Anything that shows voltage can be used with a lithium chart to get % of charge. Meter or gauge. Bob

Honestly, this is the right answer. My dad got fooled by his cheap meter and didn't realize that one of his two non-BT lithium batteries draining to 0 (other was fine) was why his trolling motor stopped and not running it at 10 for a long time, although this didn't help matters. His Noco charger dropped a bank again, and that's another story for another day....

Actual lithium shunt will be accurate, mine shows me percentage of charge and ah left as well as a lot of other stuff.

Using a voltage gauge and mathing it will not be accurate because one battery may have voltage and the other may simply be off.
