    Glide Baits in The South

Looking at getting a glide or two for some of my local lakes. However, all of my local lakes are failry low visibility .5 - 1.5' depending on rainfall / boat traffic. Would y'all go 1,2,3 and why? Appreciate the feedback! Looking at the Spro KGB for cost.

Bone for me. Also, I'm fairly new to glides and one thing I have learned is that you either want the top of the bait to be light colored or you need to purchase the tracer strips that you can put on the top of the bait. When trying to work a glide, it is SO much easier if you can actually see what your glide is doing in the water. Having a bait with a dark top makes it much harder to see your bait and know what it's doing. Probably one of the reasons why bone is so popular.

I throw Mike Bucca Bullshad glides exclusively, local guy and great all around dude. Has a lot of custom colors too, but no matter where I go or the water clarity, I get the most follows & bites on the Bone color, by far.

You can also use white out or any light colored painters tape instead of buying the "expensive" tracer stickers. Beware of some of those stickers as they can remove the paint from your glide as well!

Thanks for the heads up. I haven't needed to use the tracer stickers yet but have watched some videos of guys using them on dark colored baits. My two mainstay glides that I use are bone and a more yellowish version of bone so I can see both just fine in the water.

The Double H MIR JR in Royal Albino has produced very well for me in both clear and stained water. It's a great bait that gets bit and it's definitely on the affordable side in the glide bait game!
