Just spit balling an idea here. Maybe lay some blankets on Roof and hood. Then take a big tarp and wrap around car and tie it down. A cluster f**k for sure, but might do in a pinch.

I saw somewhere if you have some outdoor furniture with removable cushions and you use a car cover to hold them in place. Only good if you have both items.

I use moving blankets. If you know hail is coming soon, wet the blankets with a hose after placing so they are heavy enough to resist high winds

Large hail can go thru plywood on your roof just saying.

I would say a few thick comforters with a layer of cardboard on top to help spread the impact. If it's raining too. Maybe a tarp on top and of course ratchet strap everything in place.

Never tried it but have pictured using that big bubble wrap like they sell at the U-Haul stores with maybe a tarp over that to spread the impact...lots of bungees.
    Don't worry Ma'am....

Thanks guys….What a Storm!! We have had several in the past couple of weeks.

I have been using moving blankets and bungee cords and so far, it has worked. It’s a pain to install. I am looking for something more “custom” that is designed to withstand hail. I have seen several on Amazon and will continue my search.

    Thanks again for your input!

5 weeks ago we had big hail. every car in this small neighborhood, that was outside, was totalled unless it is a big truck or suv with high value still. 2 month old suv was totalled from hail from a person I know just up the street. the size of the hail will be the unknown factor

Seems like the foam camping pads you put your sleeping bag on would work.

    Or this>>>>> https://www.poolmagazine.com/pool-ne...ck-goes-viral/

Car capsule? its a grand though... https://carcapsule.com/7-outdoor-cap...ail-sleet-snow

Car port shelter, not much or then the capsule. https://www.versatube.com/building-k...ters/carports/

If you have trees or are willing to set some poles you could pull a sunshade shelter, if set up correct if should deflect most away you just have to make sure the hail does not accumulate on it.
