After several years of watching the Military Team Bass Tournaments slide, it looks like ABA has taken over the management of this yearly event and it looks promising. This year's tournament is at Dale Hollow from May 5-9. Here's the link:

I've been to the last five and have had a great time. The organization of the tournaments has kinda fallen off but still was a lot of fun, especially fishing places I've never been to nor will likely visit otherwise. I plan to go again, even though we just did Dale Hollow 3 years ago. It's a beautiful place!
So does a retiree sign up as civilian or military?
Military....it is all explained on the ABA site. You have to have a military or retired in a boat is basically what it says.

I'm fishing two divisions of ABA. Along with the BFL my calendar is full March to September.
