    Carbon 16 wiring?

What gauge is required for just one graph? Also does this graph pull any juice when turned off. Didnt want to put it on a dedicated on off switch unless i needed to

Depends on how long of a run. The power cord is sufficient to connect to a source over its own length. In my case, I ran 10 gauge from the battery cutoff switch to a Blue Seas fuse panel and then used the factory cable to connect the unit to the panel. You can find calculators all over the internet that will tell you exactly what size wire is required based on your amp draw (in the manual) and length of wire run.

    Probably worth a read:
What size wiring to use for my unit?

10ft at most. Battery switch is just behind the driver seat and running it to the console. Youd think Ranger factory harness would carry enough juice for 1 big graph but it does not

I usually just run 10awg wire from the fuse box located near the transom & splashwell inside a rod box or storage compartment to wherever I need to go.

Are you considering running a separate wire harness for your electronics on your Ranger? It should have a dedicated cutoff switch (circuit breaker) near the battery which you should turn off after fishing and before charging, so that if a short occurs (or other problem) with the charger or battery it doesn't harm anything downstream.

Your Lowrance units do not consume power when shut off, however if you have a NMEA 2000 network with Point-1, it does always consume power and therefore needs a cutoff switch, or it will drain your battery.

This article and video of my installation on my Ranger may be of help:

My Z520 came with a set of 6 gauge accessory power leads. That should be enough. The guy I bought my boat from added a few SeaClear harnesses and I think they are smaller than the Ranger wiring. Haha.

I ended up just running a wire to my dedicated electronics battery. I was trying to keep this unit on the starting battery so i would not be up against the amp hr limit but we will just have to deal with that if it becomes a issue. Nothing a lithium cant take care of.
