    Apex 5.060, 5.120, 5.250 Auto chart

Been pulling my hair out over this one. My G1 Solix recorded data in .acu format to a folder ac data on my Zero Lines card. When I put the card into my Apex the data would not display. I did some recording today and it seems to have emptied the ac data folder and put a bunch of .rec files in the main folder.

Well I seem to be getting nowhere fast here. The Apex recognizes the zero Lions card and the on-screen prompt tells me that the save location has been changed to the card, but there's apparently no data being written to it or shared back. When I fire up the Apex in the garage (no GPS signal) it remembers the last location on the lake where it was shut off. It shows the auto chart data that I recorded on the last outing but will not show any of the new stuff.

HB sent me another VX card and same as the first one it will not recognize in slot 1.

Sorry I need to clean up my tracks, but until I have working AC data I only have my tracks to go by.

Also note I have 2 instances of the folder LKmaster in my card. One is in the root and the other is under AC. Both contain the same files. I'm curious if someone with a ZLC could look at theirs and see which is the correct location please?

I'm assuming that it should be in the AC folder?

My Zero Line cards have two Auto Chart Live files. One is ACDATA done by a display and the other is ACSOCIAL done by downloading Auto Chart LiveShare data.
I have none of those extra files, but I don't have an APEX either.
The title of the card is ACNAMI1
The folder with the zero lines is LkMaster

I don't do the social. Looks like the AC folder is extra. Sounds like all I really need is the two folders then. AC data and LKMaster?

There have been many fixes and enhancements since 5.060. Version 5.250 was just released last week, and it seems very solid. I would suggest updating your Apex to 5.250 before wasting more time troubleshooting.

I am running 5.250. My post relates to 5.060 onward which is basically the OBN setup.

My apex has difficulty recognizing legacy cards from Lake Master. Legacy being anything pre vx. I bought a vx card but it will not recognize in slot number one. Hb says this is a known issue and sent me a replacement that does the exact same thing.

    VX Card
Went out to the lake Saturday VX card in slot 2 and ZLC in slot 1. Device recognized ZLC as storage location, but previously recorded ZLC data would not show. I recorded new AC Live data and it appeared on the chart no problem. Yesterday I fired up teh Apex in the garage This was indoors so no satellite. It remembered the location of last GPS fix from where I was at when powered off. It showed me the Lakemaster chart and overlayed my newly recorded auto chart data but none of the old data that was on the card. Just like at the lake.

    Replacement VX card
Inserted and it acted exact same as the first.

    Lakemaster plus card:
I was able to get it to recognize my lakemaster card in slot number one and it pulled up the charts at last known GPS fix. I inserted my ZLC card in slot #2 and it did not bring up the saved data from the card only the tracks from internal memory. I went to restart the unit and it hung on reboot. I removed the Legacy Lake Master card and it finished booting.

    AutoChart:
It is my understanding that if there is no ZLC the device stores internally. I have a ZLC and it is being recognized and set as the storage location, but the data is storing internally. I've always had a ZLC, but I thought that if I stored data internally, it was supposed to move to the ZLC automatically when inserted? Or do I need to manually transfer this data?

My unit is coming back from HB with these notes:

    General Technician Diagnosis*: GPS/Nav/Cart Issue
    Specific Technician Diagnosis*: Updated Software
    Technician Action: Repaired circuit board

Since I am already on 5.250 I can only assume that there will be a new release out soon.

OR, Just total BS. Boards rarely get anything fixed. A connector or plug in component maybe. They have places they must fill to complete a form. As long as it works it does not matter what they write. I know several people who were techs in a repair center. Take the comments on the form with a grain of salt. JMO Bob

At this point I have to question if anything was even done at all. It would have been so simple for HB to go to my Google Drive take my AC data via shared link that I previously provided, put it onto a zlc card, install a lake master card, and see if it would come up. That would test my issue and proof the system.

    Updated software=reflash same old

I'm indoors with it at present, and the AC data does not show. The AC recording that was saved internally is apparently no longer there as well. It wasn't critical, but it also would not save to the ZLC like it should when inserted.
