Clear Lake, IA

Will be getting up to Clear Lake here in a few weeks. I am wondering if there is anybody on here that has been up there and what sort of things should I expect to see. Water clarity, vegetation, bottom composition, lake traffic, launch ramp conditions, etc. or any other things that may help to prepare ahead of time.

Flip/pitch docks and flip and frog the reeds. That's about all there is to do up there. You might not get a ton of bites but you'll have a good chance at some big fish. McIntosh Woods is the best ramp on the lake IMO.

its definitely not a lake known for bass fishing! more like walleye, perch and yellow bass. id be interested on how ya end up doing!

Does this lake get heavy/thick vegetation this time of year?
