Which gas pump do you park at?

Your vehicle is gas, all the pumps are wide open, and there is only 1 diesel pump on the very end. Seems that people with gas cars naturally gravitate to the diesel pump. Do you not consider someone may need diesel and you chose to use the only diesel pump for your gas car?

Trick question, you don't even need gas, you just want a roller dog. All the perfectly fine parking spots in front of the building are wide open... you park at a pump right?

If gas is sold at the same pump as the diesel, then I fill up where ever available.

It's not like you can't get diesel cause I'm there. You can wait till I'm done pumping my gas and get over it. A few minutes isn't going to kill you.

waiting for someone using the gas pump as a parking spot at a busy station is tough on me. But I am still here. Still remember someone getting mad at me because I pulled in on a pump, he had to go around and parked at another pump, he was upset , he went inside sat down and ate lunch at Woody's in Centerville, Texas

It’s mostly a non-issue for me. Most pumps in my part of Texas have diesel, even Buckies with their 100+ pumps, but when I travel east diesel gets less available.

When all the other pumps are available and you are using the ONLY diesel pump for gas, that is extremely inconsiderate and asinine.

I'd imagine folks who block the diesel pump for no reason also have a yard full of dandelions.

Only bothers me if they are in the store and blocking the only diesel pump.

It's kind of dopey to use a diesel island if you don't have to. It's almost a sure thing someone earlier had a diesel overflow and you get to walk around in it.

Usually avoid the pumps with diesel. Especially if it’s wide open. Plenty of other pumps to choose from. Now if that’s the only one open, then I use it.

one of my biggest pet peeves is people using the pump as a parking spot. They fill up, then go inside to get crap.. especially at a busy station. Just baffles me the complete absence of consideration for others that people have

I remember years ago a middle aged lady with a Karen haircut parked at a pump, got gas, then started to go inside. A guy in a truck pulled up and very politely asked her to move her car literally 30ft forward to a parking spot so he could get gas. She huffed and told him she can park wherever she wants and people need to learn to have patience.

two of our village Cops overheard it while they were about to get lunch. So one parked in front of her, then the other behind. She walked out then came back in screaming how she needed to get out. The cops just laughed and told her she needs to learn to have patience. Gave her a hard time about being entitled and blocking business then moved.

the people who use the pumps as a parking spot are that level of inconsiderate.

The stores that only have diesel at pumps on the end rows, I just really don’t ever use them, unless it’s the only option. I was taught about respecting others and their needs/wants, and how my actions may impact others inadvertently.

Having said that, there’s a gas station with 36 pumps recently added on the same side of the road as my commute toward work. I usually stop for a large tea. The station has so many pumps, they’re rarely ever even being used at 1/4 capacity. I park in the shade at the pumps at that store, unless there’s a lot of cars at the pumps, then I park in a spot next to the building.

It is for very good reason Buc-ee’s doesn’t have tables in their stores. Nobody would be able to buy gas for all the people sitting down to eat their brisket sandwiches while their auto is blocking a pump.
