    The Link's at Lands End

Our golf group traveled about an hour to play the course as ours was being aerated.
MyFirst time to play 18 holes there.
Nice track, good condition and reasonably priced.
    Food afterwards was good.
    Waitresses friendly.
    Beer was cold.

Very windy day with strong south breeze at 15-22+.
Lake Fork surrounds most of the course and the choppy waves blasting the bank made me glad I was not fishing.
Shot 83-42/41 with no birdies but several missed short puts on the high side.
Chipped well and generally stayed where I intended.
Hadn't played in a while so pleased with the swing and the results other than the short putts missed.

    Now on to fishing tomorrow.
    Frogging and pitching/flipping grass.

Well, golf was better than fishing-at least as far as results go.
I Caught two but my Boater caught 11 for 27+pounds in the all count contest. He took third place.
He lost a big one that screamed away from the weeds and then went airborne completely out of the water and shook the bait. 7-8 pounds guessing from both of us.
Most fishermen caught fish and some really good ones.
Fishing Lake Fork can be fun or a real grind.
These bass are smart and tough.
Wind died down about 2:45 just before lines in. Figures.
I need a day of rest for my right hand after a full day of flipping and golf the day before.

If I said this to my wife, I can quote her. “Oh, poor baby!”

One of my lifelong friends is a majority owner in that course. I don’t play golf, but we stay there a couple times a year and fish Fork. Beautiful place.
