    Talon xmw

Anyone build on a talon xmw blank? What are your thoughts and impressions?

they have a 76 heavy power blank 1/2-2oz rating that supposedly weighs 2.1 oz.

my current favorite light flipping blank is the point blank 761hm but this one has me intrigued.

they were also blowing out some premade rods for 25 more than the blank so I jumped on a 7 foot medium powered casting and a 75 mh+

I'd call them, they are a new thing in their lineup. Rod blanks aren't their only business they have been doing industrial and aviation layups for decades. This is where the helical (spiral) layups came from.

spoken with them on the phone. Seem like interesting blanks, I pulled the trigger on a couple pre built rods they were blowing out.

if there nice I’ll definitely be buying that 76 heavy black that weighs 2.1oz to build and see if it’s as advertised.

I can't help with that model, but I will say that I have a 13' Talon ITM centerpin rod that is absolutely fantastic. They make nice blanks.
