    B A S S the FFS tour

If anyone tries to deny this now then they themselves are in denial . This sport was once based on instinct and time on the water is now based on something completely different . 8 out top 10 are 25 years or younger.

There's lots of decaffeinated brands that are just as tasty as the real thing.

Giving that the top 20 percent in talent left a few years back it was only a matter of time before they were replaced. FSS or no FFS get use to seeing these young guns or stop watching.

I like to think the younger pro angler has combined the knowledge from the past with the newest technology. Instincts and time on the water is still being applied while on the water. FFS is just another tool. In fact, if you listen to Tucker Smith after winning at Lake Fort, it wasn’t his FFS that was the key. It was rather the use of his side imaging and 360 to find these fish. That technology has been in use for a long time.

I am just choosing not watch BASS. I will keep up with certain fellas on there and if they are doing well I will tune in for a few to watch them. BASS will be what it will be and tournament fishing has changed. Hopefully the NPFL will grow and I can become a fan of that. People will then have the option to watch what they want and follow what they want. I will say this, I keep hearing about how talented these young guys are. Are they? I mean at 18,19, 20 years old are they really that good at finding fish and a pattern and what not. I honestly do not know. Maybe they are. But me watching them watch a screen isn't what I want to see so I do not tune in. I thinbk the whole FFS thing will work itself out and we will find common ground again

I want to go to Fork and catch 30#s with my FFS. It is the most challenging new fishing technique I've ever tried to learn. Watching highlight reels of BASS anglers catching 30# bags with FFS looks easy. I give those guys credit for mastering FFS. I'd like to see some critics go on youtube live fishing with FFS to demonstrate how it's like cheating.

I thought it was a great tournament. Really don't understand all of the complaining about FFS, when everyone loves GPS mapping. To me, that was the biggest leap forward in fishing.

Yup! Mapping negated time in the water find those honey hole offshore spots. All of a sudden, people with no experience or skills were showing up on the juice :)

young anglers are dominating because of technology….the internet. The amount of content they consumeed as teens far exceeds the amount of content someone 40 years or older did when they were a team. Also, these young anglers fished 200 plus boat tournaments from middle school through college. By the time they reach the Opens they are seasoned anglers and competitors

But Amart dropshotting straight down on their heads with down imaging was perfectly acceptable.

So what? Unless you have a vested interest in B.A.S.S . it's really none of your business, or mine either. It's TV. Turn it off and quit bitching .

The term Boomer ring a bell ? Times have changed no matter how much you, and others, want to impose your will - change is inevitable.

Turn it off and go fishing and fish anyway you choose. Live and let live.
