5-10-25. Green valley
Trying to learn more about that place so I’m fishing it a little more this year. Start about 6:30. ( stayed up 2 late last night and didn’t want to get up) it’s nice it’s light early but man to get out there before it’s very light is tough. Pretty slow bite and only 3 keeper bass. The wt was 68* I saw 70 in one spot. It was also 84* outside when I left!! All the bass had bloody tails and looked very fat still so there probably could to going. I caught one keeper that was skinny so I wonder if it was post spawn? Best bait was a jig. Also a bladed jig, drop shot caught fish.
Hears the bad news….. I saw a ton of carp!! Yep carp all over! Better get there soon because it’s not good having carp in there… There really hard to kill probably never got rid of the fully in 2008 from what I was reading when eating dinner in Creston.

Sounds like you did about as well as me. I fished for 7 hours and caught five. And only one was decent (17-18 inches). Caught two on a popper and three on a prop bait. Tried a bunch of other baits but just couldn’t figure them out. The ones I caught had bloody tails too. Water temps were 66-67.

I did try a top water with no luck. It was definitely a warm day! Better then a cold day I think.

Does that lake have a ton of vegetation or is it just structure and cover (wood, rocks)?
Seems like the bass really don't get too affected by the carp until most all the vegetation is cleaned out, then its usually a slow decline in population.

There is some grass but not much. Brush and rock piles are primary structure
