    Wipers!

    Got into them big time today at a private lake. Caught over 12 of them with biggest weighing 7.3lbs. Man, those wipers are ferocious

    Oh wow! That would be awesome! I’ve caught some around 3lb and there pretty amazing fighters. Can’t imagine a 7lb. Did you see any large mouths?

    several years ago on red rock we got into good wipers and it was all on a popR with spinning rod! i caught 7 from 4 to 7 pounds! you could see the wake as they approached! it was nuts!

    I wonder what the state Record is for a wiper? My father in law asked me if I caught many bass this big…….. I told him usually not that small That would be something to catch!

    I did see bass and they are bedding. Bigger wiper I caught was 11lbs. Another great place for wipers is pony creek in Kansas especially in the Fall

    On several occasions this spring, I’ve come across schools of big wipers at my local pond. Of course, I wasn’t targeting them, but if they’re going to bite, I’ll give chase. I didn’t catch any smaller than this.
