I just put a 28p Bravo 1 on my Skeeter ZXR20 with the 250SHO. I have the Nizpro tune . I have been able to run it once and best speed I got was 79.1 at 6190 RPMs . My question is are there anything more that would be worth doing to the out of the box prop? I know Skeeters are not speed demons but I would really like to see 80 something. The rpms are digital of my graph.
Slip is a little high, but any work to correct will pull rpm down some. If hole shot and mid range punch are to your liking, I’d probably run as is.
dump some weight and it will hit 80 for the record, then live with it if it is all good elsewhere

What kind of load is on the boat running that fast? That sucker is quick even with a Nizpro tune.
Takes a lot of HP to hit 80 in a non performance hull....

Figure out why you have so much slip. 80 mph is just a matter of lightening up the boat a little. The lower unit is really the hold up on the SHO's above 70 mph. Get it coned and you'll pick up A LOT of speed.
I suspect you will need to get more of the L/U out of the water (P2P is too low).

When I was able to go 75mph any day, I passed pretty much everybody and only got passed by the occasional "go fast" brands like Bullet and Allison (not many around here). That pretty much puts speeds in reality - not MANY, if any, are going over 75 (legally anyways, & yes, I fish tournaments). If anything, boats are slower today with the bloated hull weights of modern boats. You're really being picky for that last 1mph, considering it won't make that much a difference (and I'm in the camp that believes speed matters).
That's moving in a ZXR. That hull wasn't designed to be fast. I'd be stoked see 73-74 regularly.

That's a lot of slip, but the SHO lower unit starts creating drag around 75 mph maybe less, they pretty much hit a brick wall at 80. Coning the lower will add a lot of speed. I had a friend pick up 10 mph on a 20' Lake & bay boca. Is your prop an XS or FS or standard Bravo1? if it's a standard Bravo 1, having the blades thinned, barrel cut, and cup added (turning it into an FS essentially) should get you over 80 easily.
