2019 Used Sho Questions

I’m about to buy a 2019 phx 919 with a 230 hour sho. It sounded fine and ran up to 75 no problem. If I was buying a power head issue would it sound normal and perform like that? I have the print out, would it sho up there? Anything on the printout I need to look for?

The computer print out will give you a wealth of information. Most importantly, to all individuals is hours. Will never tell you about high taper pistons, plasma sprayed cylinder walls, Viton crankshaft upper and lower seals, narrow piston rings, un pressure regulated cooling system, fuel degeneration, running in a constant state of fuel knock or detonation. other than that looks real good and goes real fast. a Rollin leak down test will tell you much more than any computer will ever. Utilization of a high quality leak down tester under the correct conditions is Paramont. Then there are extremely short intake and exhaust valve guides, Additionally using choker spring seals to eliminate all lubrication to the valve stem. intake and exhaust valve clearances,are almost Never inspected by technicians as required in operator and OEM service manual.

He’s upgrading to a 920. You start reading threads on these motors and it seems like a lot of them grenade in that 200 hour range. I’m looking into adding a yes warranty if possible.

I have a 2014 225 SHO on Ranger with 260hrs, it never misses a beat. I run it hard all the time. SHO is a great motor.

not many 919's for sale especially in MN with a 225 SHO. I think I know the exact boat you're looking at and I've been watching it as well. Sharp boat and should be no concerns with the motor. Buy it and enjoy that boat. Should be a blast and huge upgrade over your champion. You're gonna love that 919 and the 4 stroke.
