First 9 fr the year done...About like normal
Skated out of work a little early yesterday to hit the course.
We have had a pile of rain the last few weeks and it turned out to ne a nice afternoon when I left work.
Go to the course to play 9 holes.
Now I havent played since last Sept.
First drive....nice big slice like I always had. Then got it in my head to slow down my swing instead of tring to crush the ball like I want to. Next drive was good and straight, and about on par wiht my normal drives of about 210 yards.
Got to hole 3 which has a pretty tight line to the right side in the woods and train track. First shot..slice just to the right and in the trees. Second drive i topped it some and only got about 100-125 yards out of it but was in the fariway.
Then the rain set in. So here I am huddled in the center of the cart while it poured for about 20 minutes.
After the rain most shots were pretty good and straight, its just the normal with me as my short game from 40 yards and in kill me. I still struggle getting under the ball. Still got to work on that part.
Putts were about normal also and something I need to work on.
Did make one nice putt on the last hole that has a really undulating type green. Holed it from about 20 feet with a huge downhill run to the hole.
All in all shot horrible like normal at +22 but for the first time playing since sept it was fine and i know what I need to work on at least.
Side note...Golf Now app to get cheaper Tee times sucks.
Signed up on it. Should have been a $16 charge after paying $3 on the app. Get to the course and its $25.
Wasnt happy about that. So going to try a different app and see how well it works.
