    Is Solix a good choice?

If I buy a Solix unit, for mega live 2, can I network the unit to my Ethernet box, so I also get
down/ side/ 360 from my other units? I understand they are not making Solix anymore, so what is the risk?

Depends on what the other units are. When a SOLIX G3 has the MEGA LIVE 2 software installed, it will only be compatible with other updated SOLIX G3's, an updated APEX, and an Xplore. No other units are compatible with MEGA LIVE 2 and no other units will share anything with those units.

Thanks Wayne. I have Helix 10’s G 4,at the bow and console. So I should just get the Solix CHO, and run mega live 2 on that.
Can I run my mega 360 and/ or the transducer from the Ultrex into the Solix?
Other option is to get Explor, or add a Garmin livescope unit.

Yes the MEGA 360 and Minnkota transducer are compatible with the SOLIX G3.

If you get an Xplore instead of the SOLIX, you will need the new AS GPS HS N2K antenna to mark and display waypoints on the 360 view or use the Minnkota GPS/Heading as the source if you have iPilot LINK or Advanced GPS.

I just ordered the 408400 -1 as gps antenna. Running the 360 on the Helix, this will
allow me to mark waypoints on the 360. So there’s a different one for the Solix? Typical of Hummingbird.

Same antenna works with Helix, SOLIX, APEX. Need an adapter for the SOLIX and APEX for the NMEA0183 connection.
