What's everyone's opinion on best glasses for sightfishing
I have used cheap Walmart glasses from the fishing section to Costas 580P in gray, gray silver mirror, and green mirror.
The best for me was the gray/gray silver mirror lenses. I could see fish that others couldn’t with cheaper lenses/other colors. I don’t have good “fish eyes” either.. I think they worked better than the green mirror honestly.

1995 Johnson Fast Strike 175hp
Amber Shady Rays on sunny days and gray on cloudy days!
XRay glasses work best for me
costa green mirror 580p work great for me. Would be curios to try the silver mirror
Just make sure they are really polarized lenses, Some say they are ain't. To check turn lenses perpendicular to each other and you can't see thru real ones, Fake ones you can.
Green mirror for bright sunny days and amber for cloudy overcast days.

good timing as I just today went sight fishing.
I have been always using the green mirror Costas for years. I had to buy a temporary replacement several days ago and today I had both on the boat today.
The $12 Walmart replacement was no different than my Costas!!!
How the heck can that be.
Never again will I buy another pair of glasses that's expensive when for around ten bucks, I cannot see any difference at all.
Any thoughts?
Yes. People buy into the hype and/or have to look the part and cool factor.
Hang on. I'll help you in 77 minutes.
I’ve been using the bajio bales beach with green glass for the last few years, they have been good to me. I also have a pair of costa silver sunrise mirror in 580 glass they are awesome in low light/early mornings or cloudy days not sure which model they are. I keep them in the boat they have a yellowish tint color to them. (I don’t like wearing them on sunny days). But to be 100% honest it’s not so much the brand of shades as stated above as long as you have a polarized lens the most important thing to me is a frame that fits your head and doesn’t allow/minimizes sun light coming in from the sides yet don’t fog up on you.

I usually get the cheappos, that cover my glasses
Bajio
Smiths
Red Tail Republic
As i get older my old go to dark sunglasses are too dark. And i end up taking them off a lot to let more light in. I really reallynlike the Bajio rose color lenses....and the violet color for very dark overcast.
That's pretty much my philosophy. My eyes are light sensitive so I wear shades pretty much any time I'm outdoors and most are in the $10-$20 range. I don't tx fish so if I miss an opportunity due to inferior glass, oh well, add it to the other 500 fish I missed. I also fish a lot of streams and rivers. It hurts the soul to see a bush or tree limb rip a pair of $200 shades off your face and fling them into the water--never to be seen again.
I have a pair of Smith/Sunclouds that are decent for boat use and they were under $100 (closer to $50). I thought I'd really like the Oakley Shallow Waters which are $150ish but they aren't dark enough to prevent squint strain by the end of the day. They do make for excellent golf glasses though.
Some people are so judgemental. You can tell just by looking at 'em.--Some random meme
I fish dark water so I like the Costa Green lens.
Costa Green Mirror glass lenses
I love my costa's for their scratch resistance (glass lense), no distorted view, and how long they have lasted riding around in my center console. I will say that polarized is polarized. When you spend more money you aren't buying "better polarization." You are buying other things that are part of the glasses (and the name on the glasses).
$5.00 Yums from Walmart. Buy several pairs and keep one in the boat, one in the truck, one in your house.
There's lots of decaffeinated brands that are just as tasty as the real thing.
