I tried my go-to baits for this time of year first. I could smell a skunk looming. After a couple hours I knew I had to make a change. The water visibility was about 1, 1.5 ft. In the past springs, keeping some fish revealed they feed heavily on crawfish. Remembering the craywfish colors, I picked out an old Rebel Deep Wee R crank that had similar colors. I threw this in 1-4ft of water, bumping the rocks and bottom. 1st cast, 1lb fish. 2nd cast, 10 incher. The skunk was gone. A few casts later, another fish. Ended up being a decent morning. Best fish was close to 4lbs.

Senko was the man. Got me an eight pounder. Few on a Bang o lure and a finesse worm. Fish were on beds and very difficult to catch.
